Loughead, William B. (5 SEP 1901 – 24 APR 1971)

Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Keun W. Park officiating, for William B. Loughead, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.), who died in his home about 4:30 a.m. Saturday. (Buried in Abbotsford City Cemetery)

Mr. Loughead had been a resident of Abbotsford for the past 25 years, and had operated the car and truck wash located on the north edge of the city for the past three years. He was born in Nashua, Iowa on September 5, 1901.

He married Ruth Smart in Nashua on May 18, 1937. They had farmed in the town of Hull (Marathon Co.) until 1945, when they moved into Abbotsford.

He was a member of the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving are his wife, a son, William of Kenosha, a brother, Thomas of Unity, three sisters, Mrs. Mayme Pedem, Milwaukee, Mrs. Ida Cook, Marathon, and Mrs. Nellie Fuller, Wausau, and two grandsons.

Two brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Mike Greaser, Robert Morrow, Bob Paul, John Dolence, Robert Hodd, and Chet Knight.

Funeral arrangements were completed at the Polnaszek Funeral Home.
