Mrs. Elroy Gutenberger returned from Washington, D.C., Saturday evening. She was
one of a group of homemakers that toured the capitol city for a week.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Baehr and family of Colby have purchased the Krueger Brothers
farm located 5 1/2 miles east of Unity.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Weichelt from the Marshfield area have purchased the Allen
Baehr farm east of Colby.
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Sossaman, Gail and Thomas, Hales Corners, visited over the
weekend with Mrs. Arma Schultz. On Saturday visitors and dinner guests included
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Suckow and family, Unity, David Winkler of Thorp, and his
friend, Mary Jo of Cadott, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Schultz and family, Colby.
The Sossaman family returned to Hales Corners Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mr.s Merlin Bauman and daughters, Sheila and Sharla, from Iron River,
Michigan, spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Bauman,
Chippewa Falls, and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wenzel, Everett and
Darnell, Colby. On Sunday they visited Mrs. Berwyn Jackson and sons, Leland and
Glen, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. The Jacksons are also Iorn River
residents and were recent car accident victims in this area.
