First Lieutenant Daniel P. Jantsch, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Jantsch,
arrived home tues after spending nearly a year with the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He
arrived in the states on April 22, 1971 and received his discharge from the Army
at Oakland, California. Jantsch entered service in August 1968 and received
basic training at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He later received infantry training at
Engineering Officers Candidate School at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He was
commission Second Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps on August 22, 1969. He
received officer training at Fort Lee, Virginia and Fort Bragg, North Carolina,
and attended airborne school at Fort Benning, Georgia. He came home on furlough
in late May 1970.
Jantsch is a 1964 graduate of Dor-Abby High School and 1968 graduate of WSU, Eau
Claire. He plans to enter the University of Colorado Law School at Boulder in
August.
