Erickson, Minnie (16 JAN 1871 - 10 MAR 1936)

Mrs. Minnie Erickson of the town of Unity passed away Tuesday morning, March 10, at her home after an illness of only a few days. She was born in Finland, Jan. 16, 1871. In 1889 she came to this country and settled at Lockport, New York, later moving to Joliet, Illinois. She was married to Carl John Erickson at Gladstone, Michigan on Nov. 1, 1900. In March, 1902 they came to Unity and located on the land where they made a fine home and farm where Mr. Erickson died seventeen years ago.

To them were born: Salem, Hilding, Emil, Mabel and Segree of Unity, Anselm of Abbotsford, Hugo and Alfred of Auburndale and Irene of Minneapolis. Besides her children she leaves to mourn her death, three brothers, Chas. and Joseph of Unity, Victor of Massachusetts, one sister in Finland. One brother and two sisters preceded her in death. She also leaves five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday P. M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity, Rev. J. A. Olson officiating, with interment in the Lutheran cemetery.
