Moore, Wilhelmine (27 MAR 1831 - 7 FEB 1911)

Died, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Bass, at Curtiss, Clark Co., Wis., at 10:30 Tuesday evening, Feb. 7th, 1911, of dropsy and Bright’s disease, Mrs. Milford G. Moore, in the 80th year of her age.

Wilhelmine Himmel was born in Germany, March 27th, 1831. She came to America in 1850; and at Newark, N.J., in 1853 was united in marriage to Gabriel Knecht. Soon after they moved to this state, settling near La Crosse. To this union was born four children, one of whom, Mrs. Bass, is still living. Her first husband died Jan. 20th, 1865. In August 1867, she was married to Milford G. Moore, who with one son, Frank Moore, and Mrs. Bass, survive to mourn the death of a kind and loving wife and mother.

The remains will be taken to La Crosse Friday, where the funeral will be held Saturday afternoon from the Lutheran Church. The burial will be in the Onalaska Cemetery.
