Novak, Katherine (November 14, 1885-May 21, 1968)
Katherine Novak, age 82, R. 1 Merrillan, died at the Neillsville Memorial Hospital, Tuesday May 21, 1968. Katherine Kosmala was born in Poland, November 14, 1885. She was married to Kasimer Novak on September 12, 1907, in Cicero, IL. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1946. She and her late husband, Kasimer farmed in the Merrillan (Bruce Mound) area for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Rose (Walter SR) Jingle of Merrillan and Mary (Joseph) Jabukowski Chicago, IL; two sons, Chester (Helen) Marshfield and Stanley Cicero, IL; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, and three children, Clara, Walter and another son, Stanley.*
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Merrillan Methodist Church with the Rev. Calvin Carey officiating, with burial in the Oakwood Cemetery at Merrillan.
The Jensen Funeral Home of Hixton was in charge of the arrangements.
