Voge, Mr./Mrs. Adolph (Gold – 11 MAY 1971)
Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Voge of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.) celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary May 8, 1971 in the Abbotsford City Hall. The couple was
married March 11, 1921, in Michigan by the Rev. W.J. Magenoau.
Attendants at the wedding in 1921 , who were present at the open house, were
Mrs. Mildred MacFarlane of Bessemer, Michigan, and John Breauer of Ironwood,
Michigan.
Mr. Voge was born in 1891 in Lomira, Wisconsin. He was educated in the Colby
schools and lived in Colby until his marriage. He served in the U..S. Army for
two years and is a member of the Abbotsford VFW and Christ Lutheran Church. Mr.
Voge remains in fair health and enjoys doing carpenter work. He retired from
farming in 1959.
Mrs. Voge, the former Grace Miller, was born in 1903 in the town of Lake
Butternut. She received her education in a little country school in the town of
Lake Butternut. She is a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Laides' Aid of
that church. She is in fair health and enjoys gardening.
Mr. and Mrs. Voge are the parents of four children: Mrs. Vincent (Irene) Frane,
Owen; Mrs. Robert (Marion) Wibben, Colby; Edward, Owen; and Donald, Abbotsford.
They have 34 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
