Gotter, LaVerne R. (Marriage - 18? Jan. 1936)
A very quiet wedding took place Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m., at the parsonage of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church by the Rev. A. H. Laesch when La Verne R. Gotter of Granton, daughter of the late Mrs. Alvin Garber, Granton, became the bride of Herald J. Panning, Fredonia, Wis., son of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Panning of Wauseou, Ohio. The bridal attendants were Miss Verelia Anding and Mr. Algarnon Breseman, cousins of the bride.
An emerald green afternoon frock with black and white accessories and a corsage of red roses and white narcissus were worn by the bride.
The bridesmaid was attired in an afternoon frock of royal blue with brown accessories and a corsage of roses and sweet peas. The groom wore a suit of Oxford gray and the best man a suit of Navy blue.
In the evening a wedding supper was served to immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Breseman.
Out-of-town guests included Mrs. E. R. Anding and daughter Verelia of Altoona, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. Panning left for their home at Fredonia, Sunday, Jan. 19th, where Mr. Panning has a position as a Lutheran Parochial school teacher.
