Joseph Benjamin, one of the pioneers of Wisconsin and Clark County, celebrated his eighty-second birthday Saturday, a number of friends assembling at his home on East Sixth Street that evening. A very pleasant time was enjoyed by all present. Mr. Benjamin came to La Crosse County in 1858 and lived there until 1904, when he moved to Sparta. In 1908 he moved to Camp Douglas and in 1909 to Neillsville, where he has resided ever since, living a life of quiet and contentment with his wife in their pleasant home. He has two daughters, both living in Milwaukee.
