A letter from Mrs. L. R. Canfield of Tulsa, Okla., enclosing the above clipping, gives the following additional facts in regard to Mrs. Morton:

Mr. and Mrs. Asa J. Morton came to Wisconsin from Iowa about 58 years ago and settled on a farm just east of Ed. Shoat’s father, later moving to Granton where he had a saw mill. They came to Oklahoma in 1906, settling at Bartlesville and were interested in oil. Mr. Morton passed away there about 22 years ago.

She and her daughter, Dora, Mrs. Swaidner made their home together and they came to Tulsa eight years ago.

They were frequent visitors in our home as Dora and I have been friends from baby-hood. [There may have been more to this article; this was all that was valuable at this time.]
