Vine, Arthur (11 Feb. 1867 - 20 March 1936)
Funeral services for Arthur Vine, whose death occurred at Platteville March 20, were held at Crandon Tuesday at 1 p.m.
Mr. Vine was born Feb. 11, 1867 in the town of Grant and his first occupation was clerking in the D. Dickinson store in Neillsville, Wis. Later he became a hardware merchant at Crandon and in 1910 was married to Miss Mae Haine who with a son, William of Climax, Colo., two daughters, Vivian and Florence of Platteville, three brothers, Fred, Frank and George of the Town of Grant and three sisters, Mrs. H. J. Carter, Crandon, Mrs. F. Mayor, Scottville, Mich., and Mrs. Arlo Huckstead, Town of Grant survive.
Mr. Vine attended rural school in the Town of Grant and the Neillsville high school. He was a man of great industry and became a successful merchant through his honesty and pleasing personality. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and the Knights of Pythias.
