Moser, Marie (25 Jan. 1863 - 2 April 1936)

Marie Moser was born Jan. 25, 1863 in Lauperswly, Kt. Bern, Switzerland. On Feb. 4, 1882 she was united in marriage to Frederick Moser. Two years later they came to America, settling in Green County, Wis. In 1895 they moved to Columbia, Clark County, being among the early settlers here. In 1919 they sold their farm, spending the following year in Cloverdale, Ore., returning to Wisconsin in 1921 and making their home in Neillsville, Wis. Since October, 1929 on account of failing health they made their home with their daughter, Mrs. Arthur Christen. On March 30, she was taken suddenly ill and passed away on April 2, 1936.

Her husband preceded her in death 4 years ago. Surviving Mrs. Moser are three children, Frederick of Rockford, Ill., Marie, (Mrs. F. J. Mietzker, Toledo, Wash.) and Emma (Mrs. Arthur Christen, Humbird, Wis.) Two sons preceded her in death. One in infancy in Switzerland and Robert in April 1933 at Neillsville, Wis. She leaves even grandchildren, also one sister, Mrs. A. Neuenschwander, Gaston, Ore., and many friends. It was the privilege of Mr. and Mrs. Moser to celebrate their golden wedding on Feb. 4, 1932. She was a loving wife and mother, and a true friend. Her willingness and ability to help her friends in time of sickness and trouble were only a few of her fine traits.

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Moser and daughter Edna of Rockford, Ill., and John and Edwin Moser of Neillsville, attended the funeral, also many friends from Neillsville, Columbia, Merrillan and local vicinity.
