GRANTON - Hugh L. Berg, 68, of Granton, died Sunday evening at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville of a heart attack. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at the Gilbertson Funeral Homes in Granton by the Rev. Virgil Holmes of Neillsville, Wis. Burial will be made in Windfall cemetery.

Mr. Berg was born Nov. 13, 1889, in Granton and received his education in the country schools. On March 15, 1911, he married Ethel Finnigan at Granton, where they made their home since. He worked for a time in a bank at Granton and then became a mail carrier, which he was for 40 years until his recent retirement.

He had been a village clerk and at present had been a member of the Clark County Board. He was also a member of the Granton Rotary Club.

Among the survivors are his wife, four sisters, Mrs. Peter (Lottie) Tauschek, Marshfield; Mrs. Elfa Fenske, Chili; Mrs. Victor (Pearl) Cole, Black River Falls; Mrs. Harold Hiles, Southgate, Calif.; two brothers, Price Berg, Sullivan, Ind.; and Vernon Berg, Southgate, Calif.
