A new firm to be known as the Mondeau Manufacturing Company will start to
manufacture hampers sometime next week in the Methodist gym, which has been
rented for this purpose. The new industry will employ about ten persons, largely
girls.
The hampers will be made of pine, cut at the Hurd Millwork Corporation plant,
and wicker brought already woven. Part of the material is here and there is more
coming.
The hampers will be painted white, pink or blue with a colored decoration on the
top.
