Freimund, Charles (1859 - 10 JAN 1912)
Charles Freimund, who died at his home in the town of Holeton, Marathon Co., Wis. on Wednesday, Jan. 10th, 1912, was born in Germany in 1859. He came to this country with his parents when but a little boy, and resided in Sheboygan County. In 1877 he was united in marriage to Caroline Meyer, a sister of our townsman, Charles Meyer, the ice man. Soon after his marriage he came to Colby and settled on a farm in the town of Holeton, where he continued to reside until his death. His wife died a few years ago. He leaves seven children, Mrs. Minnie Allar, Mrs. Ida Parge, Mrs. Emma Schaus, Charles Otto, Herman, Alvina and Amanda, to mourn his death.
The funeral and interment took place in the town of Holeton on Sunday, Jan. 14th, conducted by Rev. Moecker of Dorchester, and was largely attended. Chas. Meyer and family, Phil Henkel and other from this city were in attendance.
