Tennant, Mary J. (12 NOV 1845 - 18 APR 1912)
Mrs. N.J. White of this city (Colby, Clark Co., Wis.) phones us the sad news of the death of Mrs. R.C. Tennant, which occurred at her home in Abbotsford, at six o’clock this Thursday morning. Mrs. Tennant was one of the early settlers, having settled in the town of Holeton, with her husband, in the early part of the 1870’s. She was about 67 years old.
Mrs. Tennant was a member of Isaac N. Earl Corps, No. 6, W.R.C. of this city, and during her long residence in this community has taken part in nearly all social gatherings.
At time of going to press it is impossible to say just when the last sad rites over the remains of this grand and good wife, mother and neighbor will be held. It will be either Saturday or Sunday from Abbotsford, with interment in the family lot in Colby Cemetery.
