Huhtala, Alice M. (Pattersen) (13 SEP 1930 - 31 MAY 2019)

Alice M. Huhtala, 88, of Ladysmith, died on Friday, May 31, 2019, at Ladysmith Care & Rehab.

Alice was born on Sept. 13, 1930, in Chicago, Ill., to Howard and Connie Pettersen and came to Rusk County in 1968. Alice was a very loving mother and grandmother and lover of all animals, wild and tame. She was also a care-giver for many years. She was a strong-willed woman and definitely the matriarch of the family.

Survivors include her son Richard (Lisa) Huhtala of Bellevue, Mich.; seven grandchildren, Michelle, Stacey, Kimberly, Michael, Raymond, Becky and Tammy and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughters, Nancy Drews and Sharron Warren and her sister, Mildred Patterson.

It was her wish to be cremated and not to have a memorial.

In lieu of flowers, please direct memorials in Alice’s name to the Rusk County Animal Shelter.
