Gilloy, Louise (10 March 1882 - 2 June 1936)
Mrs. Philip Gilloy, whose home was near Humbird, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield at 6:45 a.m. June 2, 1936. She had been in poor health about six months, but the immediate cause of her death was heart failure following a surgical operation.
Mrs. Gilloy, whose maiden name was Louis Zimmerman was born in the town of Pine Valley, March 10, 1882; being the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Zimmerman. When she was 8 years of age the family moved to Jackson County, where she grew to womanhood. On July 4, 1900, she was married at Humbird to Philip Gilloy. To this union 10 children were born, 9 of who survive, one dying at two years of age.
Besides her husband she leaves also three brothers, one of whom Robert, formerly owned a drug store in Neillsville, Wis.
The funeral was held at Humbird June 5, in the Reformed Church, Rev. Weidel officiating. Burial took place at Alma Center.
Those from here who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schultz, Mrs. Lizzie Shummel, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Raine, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Raine and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wagner, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Haugen and daughter Shirley Ann; Mrs. Gilloy was a cousin of the above mentioned women and Ben Wagner.
