Reeves, Mr./Mrs. Harold (Gold – 1 JUN 1971)
Mr. and Mrs. Harold E. Reeves of Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.) recently
celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at a dinner for their family at
the Medo Farms Restaurant, and a reception at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Neva
Harry of Colby. The hosts for the event were their two sons, Gerry of St. Paul,
Minnesota, and Ronald of Madison.
Mr. and Mrs. (the former Rose Hoppe) Reeves were married June 1, 1921 at St.
Thomas Catholic Church in Milan. Rev. William Muehlenkemp performed the
ceremony. The maid of honor, Mrs. Neva Harry, sister of Mr. Reeves, and the best
man, George Hoppe, Mrs. Reeves' brother, were present for the anniversary
celebration.
Reeves was a barber by trade, and the couple have spent most of their lives in
the Abbotsford and Colby area. They are members of St. Bernard's Catholic
Church.
In addition to their two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Reeves have four grandchildren,
Gary, Christopher, Mary and Ellen Reeves.
Guests at the dinner and reception were Ronald Reeves, Madison; Mr. and Mrs.
Gerry Reeves and family, St. Paul; Mrs. Neva Harry and Mrs. Lucille Firnstahl,
Colby; Mr. and Mrs. George Hoppe, Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Hoppe,
Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schultz, Stratford, and Mrs. Mary Johnson,
Owen.
