Matson, Selma (24 APR 1913)
This evening at 7 o’clock in Grace Episcopal Church will take place a double wedding, the brides being sisters. They are the Misses Selma and Elvera Matson, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Matson, North Carroll St. The grooms will be Mr. Lawrence Lester Day of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, who is to wed Miss Selma and Mr. John Huss Curtis of St. Paul, who bride is to be the younger sister, Miss Elvera. Last evening, Mrs. William Wengel, a sister of the prospective brides, gave a large dinner party for the bridal group, twenty-two guests being present. (Madison Democrat, April 24)
The above will be of interest to many of our readers as one of the brides, Miss Selma, was formerly one of the instructors in the Colby, Wis. High School.
