Mooney, Christine (December 1879 - May 22, 1940)
Mrs. Halbert (Christine) Mooney, age 60, of 309 E. Seventh Street, died at 5:15 a.m. this morning, May 22, 1940, at her home after a lingering illness.
Christine Boll was born in Hamburg, Germany, December 1879 and came to the United States when 3 years old with her parents, settling in Chicago. She came to Kaukauna in 1903 after living for five years in Neillsville, Wis. She was a member of Rose Rebekah Lodge, Ladies Aid Society of First Congregational Church, Noble Grand and Women’s Benefit Association. She was past president of the fourteenth district of Rose Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. J. E. Hayden, Mrs. Ivan (Gladys) McDuff, Chicago, Mrs. Harold Parks, South Milwaukee, Mrs. William (Myrtle) Steffen and Miss Dorothy Mooney, Kaukauna; four sons, Fred of Minnesota, Wallace, Robert and Ralph of Kaukauna; one brother, Charles Boll, West Allis; one sister, Mrs. William (Emma) Oldham of Neillsville and 9 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon at the residence and at 2 o’clock at First Congregational Church. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery.
