Wolter, Nina (25 FEB 1913 – 28 JAN 1975)

Mrs. Daniel (Nina) Wolter, age 61, of Route 1, Unity, died Tuesday, January 28, 1975 at the Marshfield Convalescent Home. Death was caused by cancer.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 31 at 1 p.m., with the Rev. William Humlie officiating. The body will lie in state at the Rinka Funeral Home starting at 2 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Nina Wolter (Castner) was born February 25, 1913 in the Town of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.). She was married to Daniel Wolter on June 3, 1937 at Spencer. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1969.

She received her education in the Loyal school, graduating in 1931. She graduated from Stevens Point University in 1934. She taught schools, and for the past 7 years she taught at Greenwood Elementary School in the Remedial Reading Department. She was one of the first teachers in the program.

She received her Bachelor's Degree in 1972. Shew as a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Loyal, the Royal Neighbors, Legion Auxiliary, Ladies Aid and Teacher National Education Association.

She is survived by four daughters: Mr.s James (Beverly) Crowley, Sheboygan; Mrs. Eldred (Diane) Schuette, R. 1, Unity; Mrs. Charles (Joyce) Ritzenthaler, Menomonee Falls, and Brenda, Stevens Point University, Stevens Point; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Roesler, Thorp; Mr.s John (Grace ) Kosmosky, Eau Claire, and one brother, Harry Castner, Wild Rose, Wisconsin. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Daniel, 5 brothers, 1 son and 3 sisters preceded her in death.
