Owens, Ida E. (14 Sept. 1860 - 19 Aug. 1936)
Mrs. William Owens passed away at the Neillsville Hospital Wednesday morning, Aug. 19, 1936, where she had been taken for medical treatment. She had been in poor health for a number of years, but remained at home. She was born Sept. 14, 1860, in Town of Trenton, Washington County, Wis., and came to Sheboygan with her parents when a child of eight years. Her maiden name was Ida E. Shafer. She was married to William Owens of Neillsville, Wis., June 11, 1902, and came to Clark County to reside. They lived at Loyal for a number of years, but for the past 12 years resided on a farm in the Town of Grant. She is survived by her husband, four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Della Lyons of Loyal; Miss Roda Shafer of Loyal; Mrs. Lois Ehaney, of Sheboygan; Mrs. Maud Robecker, Sheboygan; and Austin Shafer of St. Paul.
Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 21, at the Lowe Funeral home in Neillsville, conducted by Rev. Paul B. White.
