Payne, Pauline A. (September 7, 1925 - October 22, 2005)
Pauline A Payne, age 80, died Saturday, October 22, 2005, at Neillsville Memorial Hospital.
Pauline was born September 7, 1925 to Erich and Pauline (Steinberg) Schenherr in the Town of Weston, Clark County. She attended Glove School. At the age of 16 she went to Chicago to work in a factory. She married Richard Christman in 1945. They had two daughters, Linda and Marion. They later divorced. She married George Payne in 1969. They lived in Independence, MO. He died in 1976. Pauline moved to Neillsville in 1980 so she could be near her siblings. Pauline liked working at the MMC thrift shop, other volunteer work and playing cards.
She is survived by two daughters; two granddaughters; four great-grandsons; three sisters, Berdina Padrutt, of Cross Plains; Linda Blaney and Ottillie Danielson, of Neillsville, Wis.
Preceding her in death were her parents, three brothers, two sisters, and one great-grandson.
Interment cremation will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in Globe on October 25, at 10:30 a.m.
Any memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Globe.
