C. John Vale and Miss Eva Ormond were united in marriage at Rockford, Ill., at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, Rev. Elmer Johnson of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of Rockford, officiating.
The attending witnesses were Rev. Arthur Peterson, a missionary home from Venezuela, and Edith Westland, sister-in-law of the officiating minister.
The bride wore a rust colored crepe dress, princess style, trimmed with black chin chills, with black accessories. The groom wore a suit of oxford gray.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Wm. Ormond of Neillsville, Wis. She graduated from the teachers training department of the Neillsville High School, taught in the rural schools of this county successfully for several years, and for the past five years has been employed as a nurse in the Wisconsin Memorial Hospital at Mendola.
The groom is a graduate of the DeForest High School and is now a student in the University of Wisconsin with party time employment at the hospital.
The young couple will have a two-room apartment in the employee’s building at the hospital.
