Reitz, Mrs. Charles (2 Dec. 1847 - 12 Nov. 1936)
Mrs. Charles Reitz passed away at her home in this city, of which she has been a resident nearly 70 years, Thursday afternoon, November 12, 1936. She suffered a stroke of apoplexy five weeks previous and has been gradually failing in health since that time. For the past nine years she had been blind but always been cheerful and an inspiration to her friends. Mrs. Reitz would have reached the age of 89 years on Dec. 2.
Her daughter, Mrs. Julia Calway, of Portland, Ore., arrived here on Wednesday evening. She has been there during the summer for an extended visit with her mother.
Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. L. Cooper. - Black River Falls Banner Journal.
Mrs. Reitz was for several years a resident of Neillsville, Wis.
