Horn, Kenneth C. (27 OCT 1919 - 4 APR 2006)
Kenneth C. Horn, 86, Willard, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Services were held on Saturday, April 8, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard. The Rev. Joseph Follmar officiated. Burial was in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers were Greg Horn, Jeff Horn, David Pernic, Lloyd Horn, John Hull, and Laurence Suda.
Kenneth Carl Horn was born on Oct. 27, 1919, in the town of Reseburg, to Oscar and Anna (nee Damerow) Horn. He was raised on the family farm in the town of Reseburg, where he attended Colby school and later Greenwood High School. After completing his education, he hauled milk for Suda Brothers Wildwood Cheese Factory and helped on the home farm. He married Frances J. Celesnik on May 24, 1941, in Neillsville, Wis. They helped her parents farm until 1946, when they purchased the Celesnik family farm, and worked until their son, Tom, took over the farming operations in 1985. His wife, Frances, died on July 5, 1998. He continued to work on the farm until the time of his death. He was a member of the Greenwood-Willard Riders Snowmobile Club, and had many interests, including hunting, fishing, making wood, restoring antique tractors, snowmobiling, and planting trees.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth T. (Helen) Horn, Willard, and their children, Greg Horn, Jeff Horn, Matthew (Magdalena) Horn, Amy Horn, and Mary Horn; one daughter, Patricia (Robert) Pernic, Williams Bay, and their children, Deborah (John) Hull and David (Kristin) Pernic; one great-grandson, Tyler Hull; three step-great-grandsons, Lars Wild, Anders Wild, and Stefan Wild; one sister, Helen Bogstad, Suring; and one sister-in-law, Mary Horn, Barrington, Ill.
Preceding him in death were his parents: his wife, Frances; one brother, Leroy Horn, and two sisters, Arlen Anske and Violet Wadzinski.
Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
