Nelson, Janet A. (Kennedy) (19 SEP 1940 - 24 MAY 2019)

Janet A. (Kennedy) Nelson, was born Sept. 19, 1940, in St. Paul, Minn, and passed away May 24, 2019, after fighting a battle with terminal cancer.

Janet married James Nelson July 7, 1959.

She is survived by son – Michael Nelson; daughter – Sharon Nelson; grandchildren – Aaron, Sarah, Anna and Ryan; great-grandchildren – Leonardo, Troy, Jax and Kennedy; sisters – Rita Schwalk, Loretta (Dale) Ohmann, Maureen (Thomas) Anderson, Theresa (Douglas) Hunt and Lisa Kennedy.

She was preceded in death by her father – Daniel Kennedy; mother – Loretta (Brysky) Kennedy; and brother – Daniel Kennedy.

A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 1, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Cornell, with Father Eric Linzmaier officiating. Interment will follow the service at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Holcombe.

Visitation will be held Saturday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell.
