Proden, Wanda E. (Olenik) (29 JAN 1922 - 5 JUN 2019)

Wanda E. Proden, 97 of Ladysmith, WI died Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Ladysmith Nursing Home.

She is survived by three children: Kenneth & Mary Proden of Ladysmith, Jackie & Mike Fuchs of Ladysmith and David Proden & Julie of Ladysmith, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 7, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at the Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith with Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Wanda E. Proden, 97, of Ladysmith, died on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Ladysmith Care Center.

Wanda was born on Jan. 29, 1922, in Exeland, to Konstatine and Stefania Olenik. She married Joseph F. Proden in Rusk County on June 13, 1946.

She traveled to many areas of the United States before marrying Joe. They built a large dairy farm and raised their three children. Wanda enjoyed cooking and gardening. She also enjoyed going hunting with her son, Dave. She loved her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She always had a smile and meal ready for anyone.

Wanda is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Mary) Proden and David (Julie) Proden; her daughter, Jaqueline (Michael) Fuchs; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and her parents.

A funeral service was held on Friday, June 7, at Nash-Jackan Funeral Home in Ladysmith with Deacon Doug Sorenson officiating.

Burial was at Riverside Cemetery in Ladysmith.
