Martin Dankemyer, Chili (Clark Co., Wis.), president of the Lynn Mutual Insurance Company, retired Tuesday at the annual meeting of the company held at the home office at Neillsville. He had served in various capacities in the company for nearly 40 years.

Dankemyer became a director in 1935, succeeding August Dankemyer. He was elected to the office of vice-president to the Tornado Company in 1936, and was elected president of the company in 1951.

He had held that office until 1962, when the Fire and Tornado companies merged.

In January 1958, he was elected president of the Lynn Mutual Insurance Company to succeed the retiring president, Elmer Buddenhagen, and has served since that time.

Dankemyer will continue to act as an agent for the company.

Bernard Schetler, Humbird, was elected to fill the vacancy on the board of directors. Dale Short and Lawrence Bohnsack were re-elected to fill their expiring terms.
