Bruesewitz, Arnold (11 MAR 1915 - 25 MAR 2006)

Arnold Bruesewitz, 91, Spencer, died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at House of the Dove, Marshfield. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at Community Funeral Home, Spencer, and from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a,m, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer, on Thursday, March 30. Burial will be in West Spencer Cemetery. The Rev. Karl Rose will officiate.

Arnold Bruesewitz was born March 11, 1915, to Walter and Emma (nee Marten) Bruesewitz, Spencer. He graduated from Spencer High School and Wausau Business College and received a degree from the International Accountant Society. He married Isabelle Buse on Sept. 2, 1939 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. Beginning his career in the farm supply business at the age of 21, he began working for Spencer Co-op as a bookkeeper and in 1936, was named manager of the co-op. In 1962, he purchased the Spencer Farm Supply. Besides operating the Spencer Farm Supply, he was the only active member of the Spencer Lion’s Club where he held many offices, Hr served for 18 years on the Spencer Village Board and was on the original committee for the building of the Spencer school gym, and was the recipient of the first FFA award given to a businessman in Spencer, he served on the Marathon County Board, and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served in many elected offices.

Survivors include his wife, Isabelle Bruesewitz, Spencer; two children.\, Myrna (Verlyn) Schwantes, Mosinee, and James (Jean) Bruesewitz, Danville, Calif.; four grandchildren, Verrill Schwantes and Jeffrey Schwantes, and James Jay Bruesewitz and Jonathon James Bruesewitz; two great-grandchildren, Philip Schwantes and Annabelle Bruesewitz.

In lieu of plants and flowers, memorials may be given and the family will designate them at a later date.

Maurina/Community Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
