Area Resident Dies at Age 86
Abbotsford - Mrs. Alvina Schulte, 86, Abbotsford, died at 5:30 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford with the Rev. F. H. Sprengler officiating. Burial will be made in the Green Grove cemetery.
The body will repose at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby from noon Tuesday until the time of services.
The former Alvina Awe was born Sept. 26 1881 in the town of Green Grove and was married there Sept. 25, 1907, to Charles Schulte, who preceded her in death April 28, 1959.
The couple farmed in the town of Colby until 1941, and then in the town of Holton where Mrs. Schulte resided until 1963. Since then, she had made her home in Abbotsford, Wis.
She was a member of the Holton Homemakers Club, and the Ladies Aid Society of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in the town of Green Grove.
Survivors are a son, Rueben, route 1, Abbotsford; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Lorinda) Fink, Colby; and Mrs. Norman (Leona) Behringer, Owen; two brothers, John Awe, Withee; and Herman Awe, Owen; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Domer, Eau Claire; and Mrs. Ben Boehnlein, New Holstein; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
