Victor Grube Sr.

Abbotsford - Victor W. Grube Sr., 72, Maplewood Terrace, Abbotsford, died at 9:54 a.m. Tuesday in the emergency room of St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby. The Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery, town of Green Grove.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford and Friday from 11 a.m. until time of services at the church.

Mr. Grube was born April 24, 1913, in Aberdeen, S.D. He married Helen Lipprandt Dec 5, 1931 in the Town of Green Grove. They farmed in the town of Green Grove. He also worked on road construction in Illinois for Lindahl Construction Co. and later operated the road patrol for the town of Green Grove for many years. His wife died Nov 10, 1981. He has resided in Abbotsford since 1981.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Colby.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Jim (Marlene) Schill, Hartford, Mrs. Roy (Marcella) Sobeck, Abbotsford, Mrs. Ed (Marilyn) Bruger, Abbotsford; nine sons, Elden, Mount Prospect, Ill., Gerald, Medford, LaVern, Abbotsford, Roger, Carpentersville, Ill., Richard, Elgin Ill., Kenneth, Curtiss, Douglas, Romulus, Mich., Victor Jr., Spencer and Randy, Cumberland; 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was predeceased by two granddaughters.
