Cordes Services
Colby - Services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lulloff Funeral Home for Andrew Cordes, 85. Mr. Cordes died Wednesday at the Colonial House of Colby.
Robert Ruprich of the Dorchester area Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses officiated. Burial was in the Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tommy and Heb Schilling, Bryce Bender, John Brill, Anton Rychtik and Elmer Bessler.

Cordes, Andrew (20 Jan 1890 – 9 Apr 1975)
Services were held for Andrew Cordes, 84, Colby, on Saturday, April 12 at 11
a.m. at Lulloff Funeral Home, with Robert Ruprich officiating. Mr. Cordes died
at the Colonial House of Colby on Wednesday, April 9, 1975.
Mr. Cordes was born on January 9, 1890 in Germany and came to the United States
at the age of 16 and worked in Central Wisconsin. He farmed in the town of
Frankfort most of his life, and after leaving farming made his home with the
Willard Collins family, Curtiss, until he entered the Colonial House two years
ago.
He is survived by brothers and a sister, who are living in Sandburg, West
Germany.
