Groh, Leotha (17 AUG 1913 – 20 FEB 1975)
Leotha Groh, 61, of 200 E. Main Street, Spencer, died February 20, 1975 at St.
Joseph's Hospital at 2:15 p.m. Cause of death was Lukemia.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 23, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trinity
Lutheran Church in Spencer. Burial took place in the West Spencer Cemetery
(Clark Co., Wis.). The Rev. William Ruhbusch officiated at the services. Mrs.
Arnold Stelzel was organist.
Pallbearers were Oscar Bauer, Donald Schwantes, Norman Kommer, Eldor Mellenthin,
Ervin Rindfleisch, and Robert Gippert.
The former Leotha Voelker was born August 17, 1913 in the Town of Brighton
(Marathon Co., Wis.). She received her education at the Brighton School and
Trinity Parochial School in Spencer. She was married at Waukegan, Illinois on
August 4, 1932, to Charles Groh. She operated restaurants in Spencer, and she
was also employed at the Traiblazer Mobile Home Factory in Spencer.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband, six sisters, Mrs. Ervin (Minnie) Eggebrecht,
Spencer; Mrs. Laura Korth, Colby; Mrs. Edna Allison, Oshkosh; Mrs. Leonard
(Evelyn) Lenz, Oshkosh; Mrs. Arthur (Mildred) Pieper, Oshkosh, and Mrs. Tillie
Pieper, Clintonville.
She was preceded in death by one child in infancy, and two sisters.
