Frederick "Fred/Fritz" Seelow Jr. died unexpectedly at his home in Coon Rapids, MN, Sunday, April 23, 2006.
Frederick Walter Seelow was born on Nov.9, 1959 in Neillsville, the son of Frederick Sr. and Ardes Seelow. He attended St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church School and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1977. He then entered the Technical College in Eau Claire and earned a degree in Metal X-ray Inspection, graduating in 1979. In 1979, he married Nancy Urlaub and later moved to New Brighton, MN. Fred and Nancy had three children, Jennifer, Jane, and Luke. Fred and Nancy later divorced. Fred was employed by Foley Manufacturing as a Precision Inspector. On Aug.30, 1986 Fred married Lana Elmhorst, daughter of William and Virginia Elmhorst of Neillsville, Wis. Fred and Lana have one daughter, Gina and have lived in Coon Rapids, MN, for 21 years. He was currently employed by Cheetah Precision, Inc. in New Brighton, MN, as Production and Quality Control Manager. Fred took pride in his work and could be counted on to be on the job.
He enjoyed his home, children, cooking out, going on vacation and was a true Packer fan. He is survived by his wife, Lana (Elmhorst) Seelow, of Coon Rapids, MN; his parents, Fritz and Ardes (Demert) Seelow, of Neillsville; one sister, Deborah; and his children, Jennifer (Jeremiah) Ruis, Jane (Nick) Seelow, Luke (Lynae) Seelow and Gina (Jake) Seelow.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tom and his maternal and paternal grandparents. Funeral Services for Fred will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 28, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Pastor Timothy Biebert will officiate. Internment will be in the North Pine Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m., Thursday at the Gesche Funeral Home and from 10 until 11a.m., Friday at the Church.
The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Fred's family with funeral arrangements.
