Winkler, John W. (4 MAR 1912 – 26 FEB 1975)
John W. Winkler, 62, of route 2, Spencer, died at 9:45 a.m. at St. Joseph's
Hospital, Marshfield, February 26, 1975. Services were held Saturday, March 1 at
2:00 p.m. at the Rux Funeral Home, and burial was made in Trinity Lutheran
Cemetery, Unity, with the Rev. Keith Schoerlucke officiating.
Mr. Winkler was born March 4, 1912 at Unity (Clark Co., Wis.). He was married to
Pearl Black on March 23, 1942 at St. Louis, Missouri. They farmed in Jim Falls,
Wisconsin area, and then moved to the Spencer area, where they also farmed.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Donald and David at home; two sisters,
Mrs. Emily Wolfe, Spencer, and Mrs. George (Evelyn) Jeske, Stanley; and one
brother, Edward of Tomahawk. One brother preceded him in death.
Linda Roder provided the organ music. Pallbearers were Bob Winkler, Jerry
Suckow, Bob Kelly, Charles Tio, Jerry Hoffer, and Donald Black.
