Kinchen, Heather Lee (November 22, 1973 - November 5, 2002)

Heather Lee Kinchen, age 28, of rural Alma Center, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002, at Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls, as a result of an automobile accident.

Heather was born November 22, 1973, in Neillsville, to parents, Mark and Kathy (Fitzmaurice) Hoge. As a child she lived in New Mexico, Colorado, North Dakota, Utah, California, and Texas, living in the Houston area for ten years.

Heather married David M Kinchen on December 25, 1993, in Missouri City, Texas and they lived in the Humbird area for three years. She worked at Kinder Care childcare center in Texas for three years and was currently employed at the Majestic Pines Casino in their promotions department. Her children and family life were very important to her. She enjoyed a great variety of music. She also loved animals, particularly horses, and she raised quarter horses. She was a member of the American Quarter Horse association and the American Paint Horse Association.

A loving mother, wife and daughter, she is survived by her husband, David; one son Dillon Michael; stepson, Kyle David; one daughter Brittani Nicole; her parents, Mark and Kathy Hoge of Humbird; two brothers, Patrick (Tina) Hoge of Alma Center and Evan Hoge of Humbird; her grandparents, Edith Fitzmaurice of Humbird and Tom and Mary Sue Hoge of Overland Park, KS; her mother-in-law, Peachie Moore of New Orleans, LA; best friend and cousin Erin Gurney; besides many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Philip "Rusty" Fitzmaurice.

Funeral services were held Friday, November 8, at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home of Hixton, with Chaplain Myron Olson officiating. Burial took place in Mentor Cemetery, Humbird.

Casket bearers were Bob Dobson, Danny, Gary, Phil, and Tim Fitzmaurice, Randy Johnson, and Bruce Rochester. Honorary bearers were Chris Hoge, Evan Hoge and Patrick Hoge.

Heather’s love for her children, family and friends will cause each to be left with a heavy heart. She will be sadly missed by all.

Memorials may be directed to the Heather Kinchen Fund established for her children at the Mid-Wisconsin Bank, 111 N Front St. Fairchild, WI 54741.
