Szaflarski, Carlynann C. (December 29, 1934 - June 21, 2005)

Carlynann C Szaflarski, age 70, of Neillsville, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2005, at the Palliative Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Marshfield.

Carlynann was born December 29, 1934 in Elk Mound, the daughter of Elmer and Regina (Smitke) Dodmead. She received her education at Eau Claire and Neillsville schools. Carlynann was united in marriage to George Szaflarski, Jr. on August 8, 1953 in Chicago. They lived in Chicago and Villa Park, IL, and she was employed at Nabisco and Major Packing for 12 years. They moved to the house that George built on Pine View Rd. in 1974. She was employed at Riviera Supper club for 19 years. Carlynann enjoyed mowing lawn.

She is survived by one daughter, Susanne (Bruno, J.R.) Pohl, of Arnold’s Park, IA; one son, Kenneth (Sheila) Szaflarski of Mesa, AZ; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister Lorna Mae Dodmead of Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, who died July 17, 2000; and two brothers, Kenneth and Richard Dodmead.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 24, at Buchannan Funeral Home in Neillsville, with Sister Fran Troutka officiating. Burial took place in the Dells Dam Cemetery, Town of Levis.
