Dudley, Mr./Mrs. A. E. (42nd - Feb. 2, 1937)
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Dudley celebrated their forty-second wedding anniversary Tuesday; having been married Feb. 2, 1892 at Wrightville, Jackson County, Rev. J. O. Boswell, formerly a Congregational minister of Neillsville performed the ceremony. The commenting on the event in his office in the city hall Mr. Dudley recited the story of the Irishman, who was celebrating a wedding anniversary. When a guest asked him how his married life had turned out the Irishman replied: "I loved her then and I love her now." Whereupon the guest replied: "Oh, I see. You love her now and then."
