Schillers Observe 60th Anniversary

Four Generations at Celebrations; 45 years in Home

Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Schiller, Clark County residents for the past 52 years, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Sunday at their home on North Grand Avenue. They were married at Fond du Lac Feb. 6, 1877.

A large gathering of friends and relatives assembled at the home to commemorate the occasion, dinner being served at noon.

Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Schiller and daughters, Frances and Dora, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. William Betz, town of Seif; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Spaete and son Bobbie, and daughter Beverly, Granton; Mrs. E. A. Wolff, Lindsay, Mont.

Mrs. Francis Preston and daughters, Jean, Gail and Catherine, Mrs. W. F. Schiller and sons, Robert, Joe and Billy, and Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Welsch, all of Neillsville; Miss Mildred Schiller, Madison; and Miss Meta Lee Sloup of Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Schiller have resided at their present home for the past 45 years. Both were born in Fond du Lac County, where they were married Feb. 6, 1877. Mrs. Schiller is 81 years old, having been born on May 28, 1885, and Mr. Schiller, born on Christmas day, 1851, is 85 years old.

Eight years after their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Schiller came to Neillsville where his first employment was with the John Hein Lumber Company in the Towns of Seif and York.

They have six living children: Mrs. E. A. (Anna) Wolf, Lindsay, Mont; Mrs. William (Della) Betz, town of Seif; Mrs. Francis Preston, Neillsville; Anthony Schiller, Greenwood; Miss Mildred Schiller, Madison; and Mrs. T. (Margaret) Christofferson, Scottsbluff, Neb.

They also have 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Bobby and Beverly Spaete, Granton.
