East Pleasant Ridge

In the business of life, Man is the only product, and there is only one direction in which man can possibly develop if he is to make a better living or yield a bigger dividend to himself, to his race, to nature or to God. He must grow in knowledge, wisdom, kindness and understanding. - V. C. Kitchen.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vine, Marjorie and Dorothy spent Sunday at Alfred Magnusons celebrating Shirley’s birthday, It falling on Monday.

Herbert Brown is staying with his aunt, Mrs. Joe Buss.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Handke, Mrs. Reuben Handke and daughter drove to Green Bay last Tuesday to see Mrs. Walter Klapper who had just returned from the hospital. They found her recovering nicely and returned home Wednesday evening.

I think our teacher Miss Haines has some of the old pioneer blood in her to walk in the Sunday blizzard three miles to her boarding place. Don’t you.
