Brown, Everett C "Brownie" (January 28, 1910 - January 3, 2006)
Everett Brown, age 95, of Granton, died Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville, Wis.
Everett was born on January 28, 1910 in Bear Creek Township, IL, the son of John W and Laura A (Crowl) Brown. He attended school in Litchfield, IL and worked as a factory machine operator for a Camera-Projector Company in Chicago, IL. He was united in marriage to Leila E Gluch on September 6, 1941, in Neillsville, Wis. Everett entered active service in the United States Army on January 30, 1943, and served in World War II, obtaining numerous decorations. He was honorably discharged from service on October 28, 1945. Everett retired in 1972, and he and his wife moved to the Granton area. Leila died on October 16, 1989. He was a member of the Wilson-Heintz V.F.W. Post #2241 in Neillsville, Wis.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Everett were held Friday at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville, Wis. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Casket bearers were members of the Neillsville Veterans Council.
