Navy Electrician's Mate Third Class David C. Boe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Boe
of route 2, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), departed Norfolk, Virginia aboard the
nuclear powered guided missile cruiser USS South Carolina, enroute to Northern
European waters as part of a U.S. Atlantic Fleet nuclear powered task group.
The group consists of three nuclear powered vessels, including the Aircraft

Seahorse.
The Nimitz is the world's largest warship with a crew of more than 5,000
officers and men.
The South Carolina is also among the Navy's newest and most modern warships,
with a crew of approximately 500, and the USS Seahorse, which carries 54
officers and men, is equipped with a modern anti-submarine weapons system.
The task group visited Edinburgh Scotland.
