G Edward Wendt, age 95, of Marshfield died on Friday, October 14, 2005 at the Bethel Center where he had lived for the past nine years.

Mr. Wendt was born on September 21, 1910 in Marshfield to Louis and Ida (Witt) Wendt. He attended Marshfield schools and Milwaukee School of Engineering. He and Annette Korth were united in marriage on April 27, 1940 at Divine Charity Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. She died on April 22, 2002.

G Edward spent the majority of his career as an electrician. He first worked at Roddis Plywood and later started his own business, Wendt Electric. Years later, he joined K & M Electric until his retirement. After his retirement, Edward’s hobbies included traveling, fishing, woodworking and steam engines. He especially enjoyed spending time with his close friends at Jimmy’s Café. He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and volunteered many hours at the old church for electrical repairs and maintenance.

He is survived by two children, John (Judith Ehrfurth-Wendt) Wendt of Marshfield; and Jeanne (Art) Stiemke of Neillsville; four grandchildren, Chad (Jacci) Stiemke of Appleton; Sutira Wendt and Christopher Ehrfurth, both of Milwaukee; and Holly Ehrfurth of Marshfield; one great-grandson, Kayin Ehrfurth; and one sister, Eleanore Severt of Marshfield.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annette; and a sister, Martha Meihack.
