Nelson, Albert H. (5 APR 1887 – 25 JAN 1971)
Albert H. Nelson, age 83, 209 North Second Street, Abbotsford (Clark Co., Wis.),
died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where he had been taken by the
local ambulance.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the First Presbyterian Church,
with the Rev. Keun Park officiating. Burial was made in Abbotsford Cemetery.
Polnaszek Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Nelson was born April 5, 1887, at Abbotsford, and farmed with his parents in
the town of Mayville, Clark County, until 1918, when he married Irene Thompson
and bought the family farm.
He was a member and former elder of the Presbyterian Church, treasurer of the
town of Mayville for 18 years, and played in a dance orchestra for 25 years.
He played in the Tri-City band for 40 years and was a member of the American
Federation of Musicians, and a member of the Federal Land Bank Association.
He is survived by a son, Clarence, of Abbotsford, a daughter, Mrs. Franklin
(Dorothy) Thieme, Colby, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death was his wife, two brothers, and five sisters.
