Sachse, Rosa (5 DEC 1878 – 25 JAN 1971)
Rosa Sachse, age 92, Colby, died Monday afternoon at the Marshfield Convalescent
Home.
Service was held at 1:30 p.m. today at the United Church of Christ, with Rev.
Kenneth Dix officiating. Burail was in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Sachse was born December 5, 1878 in Mosel township, Sheboygan County, the
daughter of Ernest and Wilhelmina Steinhaus, and lived in that area until 1908.
She was married February 24, 1900 to Lewis Sachse, who preceded her in death.
She lived on a farm in the Colby area until a few years ago, when she became a
resident of the nursing home in Abbotsford.
A lifetime member of the United Church of Christ, Mrs. Sachse was also a member
of the Women's Guild for over 60 years, and a member of the Cherkee Homemakers
Club for over 50 years.
Surviving are a son, William Sachse, and a daughter, Mrs. Emil (Hertha) Wolk,
both of Colby, three grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two sisters.
Visitation was at the Lulloff Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
