Christopher Boyer, age 26, of Thorp, died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at his home.

Christopher Lee Boyer was born on May 25, 1979 in Neillsville, the son of David and Barbara (Bird) Boyer. He attended and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1997. Chris then went on to the Technical College in Eau Claire and graduated with a degree in Criminal Science. Chris later transferred to the Red Granite Correctional Facility east of Wautoma, and for the past 3-years he has worked at the Stanley Correctional Facility while living in Thorp.

Chris "Sporty" had a passion for many things; he enjoyed 4-wheeling, ice fishing, deer hunting, bear hunting, and the company of his friends. He most enjoyed riding his Harley with two trips to Sturgis and numerous local trips with his friends and family. Chris was a fun loving soul that could make anybody smile, with his sense of humor.

He will be sadly missed by his parents, David and Barbara Boyer, of Neillsville; one brother, Gary (Karen) Boyer of Auburndale; one niece, Mikayla Boyer; also numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be sadly missed by his very special friends, Ryan & Sonny Opelt and Ryan (Tara) Schmidt.
