Mentzel, Theodore (9 April 1889 - 1 May 1937)

Theodore Metzel wa born at Grafton, Wisconsin, April 9, 1889, to Carl and Elizabeth Prowatzke Mentzel. He died at his home near Granton May 1. Theodore was the third child in a family of nice children. He was raised in the German Lutheran Faith.

He was never married, but had farmed near Granton for the past 20 years.

He laves to mourn his passing his mother, now 83 years of age; six brothers, Charlie, Henry, Emil, Alyin, Arthur and Herbert and two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ferry and Mrs. Lydia Port all residents of Grafton and Milwaukee.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, May 3, 1937 at 4:00 p.m. at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton. Burial was held in the Windfall Cemetery; Rev. E. P. Stone of Neillsville officiated.
