Christopherson, Pernilla (1856? – 1937)

Mrs. Pernilla Christopherson, 80 died at 1:15 a.m. today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Johnson, 2143 South 4th Street, after an illness of four months. Mrs. Christopherson, a native of Sweden, came to Rockford 17 years ago from Neillsville, Wis., where she had made her home for 20 years. She was a member of the Norwegian-Danish Lutheran Church.

She was the widow of Carl Christopherson, who died seven years ago. Surviving are the daughter; two sons, Oscar of Neillsville and Joseph of Rockford; five grandchildren and five brothers. The funeral will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at the daughter’s home, the Rev. L. R. Lund officiating. Burial will take place in Arlington Cemetery. Friends may view the body from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at the Wilbur Christenson Funeral Home 925 3rd Avenue. Rockford, Illinois, Paper.
